Our work

Businesses we have set up on Doquxu

Since 2016 we have handled 1,832 jobs for around 1,200 small businesses across Bristol and the surrounding area. Below are six of them, described plainly: what the business needed, what we set up in the app, and what changed in their week-to-week routine.

Owner of a neighbourhood bakery checking daily takings on a phone Food and drink

Crumb & Crust Bakery

A two-shop bakery in Southville was copying till totals into a notebook each night. We connected both tills to the app, set up daily takings summaries and added a supplier payment calendar, so flour and butter bills stop landing as surprises.

Electrician photographing a receipt with a phone beside a van Trades

Brightwire Electrical

A three-van electrical contractor needed receipts off the dashboard and into the books. Each engineer now photographs materials receipts on site, and the app matches them to the right job so invoices to customers carry accurate costs.

Hairdresser reviewing a weekly income chart on a tablet in a salon Personal services

Harbour Street Salon

Five chair renters, each paying on a different day. We built a simple rent tracker with automatic reminders and a monthly statement per stylist, which replaced a spreadsheet the owner updated by hand every Sunday evening.

Shop owner scanning stock in a small independent gift shop Retail

Clifton Gift Corner

An independent gift shop with seasonal peaks. We set up cash-flow forecasting around the autumn and December rush, so the owner could see when stock orders would squeeze the account and plan payments to wholesalers accordingly.

Freelance designer at a desk sending an invoice from a phone Freelance

Northfield Design Studio

A solo designer with eight to ten active clients and a habit of chasing late payments by email. The app now sends invoices from her phone, flags anything overdue after 14 days and keeps a running figure for her quarterly tax set-aside.

Cafe team lead reviewing staff hours and wages on a phone behind the counter Hospitality

Stokes Croft Corner Cafe

A cafe with twelve part-time staff and shifting rotas. We linked recorded hours to payroll figures in the app, so wage costs are visible against weekly sales and the manager can adjust shifts before the month closes, not after.
