Terms and Conditions

Last updated: please check the date shown when you accept these terms.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Doquxu website and mobile application, and any subscription or service you obtain from us. Please read them carefully before placing an order. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

The services described in these Terms are provided by Doquxu ("Doquxu", "we", "us" or "our"). Doquxu offers a mobile application designed to help small businesses manage their finances.

You may contact us using any of the details above for questions about these Terms, your order, or to raise a complaint.

2. Our Services

Doquxu provides a mobile application that helps small businesses record, organise and review their financial information. The application is a management tool. It does not constitute accounting, tax, legal or investment advice, and you remain responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for your own statutory filings and obligations.

3. Placing and Confirming an Order

3.1 How to order

You place an order by following the on-screen steps on our website or in the application, selecting the plan you require, and submitting your details and payment information. Before you submit, you will have the opportunity to review your order and correct any input errors.

3.2 When a contract is formed

Your submission of an order is an offer to purchase. A binding contract between you and Doquxu is formed only when we send you an order confirmation by email or display a confirmation page after your order has been accepted. We may decline an order, for example where a product is unavailable, where we identify an error in pricing, or where we cannot verify your details. If we decline an order, any payment taken will be refunded.

3.3 Eligibility

Our services are intended for businesses and for individuals acting on behalf of a business. By ordering, you confirm that you have authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of the business concerned.

4. Prices, Payment and What Is Included

4.1 Prices

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and, unless stated otherwise, are shown inclusive of VAT where VAT applies. The price payable is the price displayed at the time you place your order.

4.2 Payment

Payment is taken at the time and in the manner shown during checkout. For recurring plans, you authorise us to charge the applicable fee at the start of each billing period until you cancel in accordance with section 5.

4.3 What is included

Each plan includes access to the features described for that plan at the time of your order, together with reasonable support by email or telephone. Features, limits and any usage allowances are described on the plan page. We may improve or update the application from time to time; where an update materially reduces the core functionality you paid for, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel as set out below.

4.4 Price changes

We may change our prices for future billing periods. We will give you reasonable written notice of any increase before it takes effect, and you may cancel before the new price applies.

5. Cancellation, Refunds and Your Statutory Rights

5.1 Your right to cancel

If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of the contract being formed under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Business customers do not have this statutory right, although we will consider any reasonable request in good faith.

If you ask us to begin providing digital content or services during the cancellation period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for what has been supplied up to the point you cancel, and you may lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully provided.

5.2 How to cancel

To cancel, contact us at [email protected] or call +44 117 454 6714, clearly stating your intention to cancel and giving your name and order details. You may also use any cancellation option available within the application.

5.3 Ending a recurring plan

You may cancel a recurring plan at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will keep access until then. Unless required by law, we do not provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing period.

5.4 Refunds

Where you are entitled to a refund, we will process it without undue delay and in any event within 14 days, using the same payment method you used for the original transaction unless you agree otherwise.

5.5 Our right to suspend or end

We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay sums due, or use the services unlawfully. Where reasonably possible, we will notify you first and give you the chance to remedy the problem.

6. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our services, please tell us so that we can put things right.

  1. Contact us at [email protected] or on +44 117 454 6714, or write to us at 146 Stokes Croft, Bristol, BS9 8DR.
  2. Please include your name, contact details, a description of the problem and any relevant order information.
  3. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to provide a full response within 14 days of receiving it.

If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may be able to refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution provider. We will confirm at the time whether we are willing to participate. Nothing in this section affects your legal rights or your ability to bring a claim in the courts.

7. Your Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your account credentials secure, and to use the services only for lawful business purposes. You must not attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the application, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it to process unlawful data. You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights in the application, website, software, design and content belong to Doquxu or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the application for your own business purposes during your subscription. You retain ownership of the financial data you enter, and you grant us only the permission needed to host and process it in order to provide the services.

9. Personal Data and Cookies

We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. You have rights in relation to your personal data, including the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] and we will respond within the time limits set by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection.

This website sets only one cookie, named privacy_choice. It stores your consent choice and lasts for one year. We do not use analytics cookies on this site. Advertising measurement runs only after you have given consent, and only on the order confirmation page.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to the above:

We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including interruptions to internet or telecommunications services.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in law or our services. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order. For ongoing plans, we will give you reasonable notice of material changes, and you may cancel if you do not accept them.

12. General

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live.

14. Contact

For any question about these Terms, please contact Doquxu at 146 Stokes Croft, Bristol, BS9 8DR, by email at [email protected], or by telephone on +44 117 454 6714.
